Through its $6.5 million Capital Campaign, Stratford Perth Hospice Site Committee is building Perth's first residential hospice. The new ten-suite, home-like residence will provide, free of charge, 24-hour specialized palliative care to people living with a terminal illness and will provide support to those in their life circle. The facility will open with 6 residential hospice beds with supporting funding from the South West LHIN and will be run by HCAM. The building will be sized to accommodate the future needs of 10 beds. The Fundraising Coordinator will help with the design and implementation of the campaign plan, with specific focus on research, prospect identification and soliciting funding from individuals, foundations, corporations and government. This person will also assist with local marketing and fundraising efforts to raise awareness and secure the necessary funding. Donor database management and website management are also required.

Reporting to the Chief and Council, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading, planning, managing and implementing Caldwell First Nation (CFN) programs, services and policies. The position is also responsible for the provision of administrative expertise and overall direction to all employees (including directors/managers) and programs and services (including economic development initiatives and other areas agreed and approved by CFN Chief and Council. The position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that CFN programs remains within established budgets by maintaining a close working relationship with the departmental directors, managers and employees. Education and Experience Requirements - Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Master's degree preferred. - Minimum 5 years' experience in a related chemical batching field. - Strong knowledge of industrial paints coatings raw materials, and formulating experience. - Familiarity with industrial paints and coatings test methods (ASTM, OEM Automotive, etc) a plus. What we are looking for: Mandatory - Trades licence in any mechanical trade with a preference on Industrial Millwright through a valid apprenticeship program. (May consider a registered Industrial Millwright apprentice.) - Class 4 certification in Water Treatment, Class 2 in Water Distribution and Supply, Class 2 in Wastewater Treatment and Class 2 in Wastewater Collection would be preferred. - Alternatively, a 2-year diploma/degree/certificate from a recognized Canadian college or university in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or equivalent trade school. - A lesser qualified candidate may be considered as an underfill minimum Operator-in-Training (OIT), as specified in O.Reg. 128/04 of the Safe Drinking Water Act and O.Reg. 129/04 of the Ontario Water Resources Act. - Should a successful applicant be employed as an underfill Operator, he/she will be required to write and pass the required Class 1 certification exams within 90 days from their start date. Knowledge - Good knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes to operate the facilities. - Working experience/knowledge of the skilled trades for the maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment and structures, including, but not limited to, the following skills: basic electrical repair, welding, plumbing, millwright, gasfitting and steamfitting HVAC and general facility maintenance. - Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulatory and legislative acts, codes, policies, guidelines and procedures related to water and wastewater operations and maintenance, including health and safety procedures/WHMIS. - Knowledge of basic mathematics and chemistry to make calculations for chemical and operating processes. - Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints and other technical specifications, including use and storage of industrial chemicals. - Familiarity with computers, including monitoring and operating systems. - Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis and thermal imaging. Skills and Ability include - Analytical, problem solving and planning skills to perform major equipment overhauls, routine and preventive maintenance, carry out repairs and perform a variety of maintenance tasks, resolve maintenance and operational issues, and take samples of the water chemicals to make process control adjustments. - Organizational skills to lead extensive maintenance and repair projects. - Good oral and written communication skills to liaise with a variety of people, including coworkers, clients, suppliers, while keeping accurate logs and writing reports. - Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative. - Ability to perform manual labour.
